Records consist of invitations (1841-1989) to the St. Cecilia Ball; dance cards (1899-1962); admission cards (1902-1955); announcements (1901-1941) concerning meetings and other matters; receipts (1900-1953) for dues payments; cancelled checks (1906-1954); "convite" cards (ca. 1850); a ribbon badge (ca. 1830, worn by Thomas Waring, the secretary and manager of the St. Cecilia Society); newspaper clippings (1962-1976) about the Society; and correspondence and notes (1901-1961) about the St. Cecilia Society, including a letter (1901) from A.S. Salley and a notes (1961) by Alston Deas regarding the date of the founding of the Society.
